Bhool Chuk Maaf (2025) Finally Hits Theaters After Multiple Delays

After navigating a series of challenges, Bhool Chuk Maaf finally premiered in theaters on May 23, 2025. Initially slated for a May 9 release, the film’s debut was postponed due to escalating tensions between India and Pakistan. This led the producers, Maddock Films, to consider a direct OTT release on Amazon Prime Video. However, this decision faced opposition from PVR INOX, resulting in a legal dispute. A compromise was eventually reached, allowing the film to have a theatrical release, with streaming scheduled for June 6, 2025.

Directed by Karan Sharma, the romantic comedy stars Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi. The story revolves around a man trapped in a time loop, reliving the day before his wedding. Despite the initial controversies, the film opened to positive audience reviews and earned approximately ₹7.2 crore on its first day, marking one of the strongest openings for a Bollywood film in 2025.
